How to use the thing:
Write a keyword in one of the boxes above and press the enter key or click the Search button with your mouse. You can only search using one criteria at a moment. The search engine knows about the usual wildcards (? and *) and regular expressions (see more information about regular expressions and stuff). Because of the Finnish law, only 8 matches are shown at a time.

The database has all the information from the 1997 OH callbook's diskette version and also the email/packet addresses from the database maintained by Olli, OH1FT. If a person is not a member of the Finnish amateur league SRAL or has asked his information to be removed from the callbook, the information might be present in the OH1FT database. In this case, only the first name of the person is known.

Finnish hams who have a three-letter suffix in their callsigns (all of the new calls), must change the number on the call according to the area of the country they are operating from (except when they are using the /P or /M identifier). For example, here in Kuopio i am OH7LZB, but if i go to Helsinki, i'm OH2LZB, but this database doesn't know about the OH2 callsign. If you are sure about the callsign but the database doesn't give a match, try replacing the number with a ?, eg. OH?LZB.

The callbook database is only updated once a year, when the diskette version of the SRAL callbook is published. The email/packet address database is updated once in a month or two.
