A version of Protus c_filter is now available for xfbb users.
It has long been my whish that version 4.0 was the first including a Linux
executable, but due I'm now busy with other proyects, Protus 4.0 (beta at
this time) will have to wait some time more. So, I have decided to release
an executable for Linux of the actual version 3.3.
I must to say that a bug has been detected, but it only affects to the
possibilty of send messages to SysOp when a new user connects. Instead of
use the mail.in file, messages are added to a file named 0. I think a call
to shell in cron.sys to rename it each hour can solve this while next
version arrives with it fixed.
To avoid problems with libc5 and glibc (libc6), it's compiled statically, so
the size of the file is long. Next version will include possibly only a
dinamically compiled one for glibc because it's included in all new
distributions.
No, there is not english documentation yet, sorry, I promise it will be
included with 4.0. Configuration files for 3.3 with english comments can be
downloaded from the web site.

I have also tried to upload it to incoming area of fbb site, but server has
not allowed it.
