Can anyone give some advice on the following.
I have a forwarding problem once I have set-up a password on my
Linux_node that I have so far been unable to solve.
set-up
running xd700.g11
The xdfbb communicates with the linux_node via the psuedo interface
and works well and has done so for the past 9 months.
The XDFBB can only be access via the linux_node front end.
Part of the connect forward file
C C GB7CR-13 (connect via ax5 port to linux_node
C C GB7SRC (onward connection via NetRom)
the above works fine
Now once I enable password security in node.perms (linux_node)
the only way I can connect one from the linux_node is to use the
following format.
C C GB7CR-13 (linux node responds with password on connection)
V password$WC GB7SRC$W (sends the password and connection via netrom)
or
C C GB7CR-13 (linux node responds with password on connection)
V password$WT GB7AAA$W (sends the password & connect via TCPIP to host)
this works fine (well get's round a problem)
The problem is, if I want to do more than once Netrom connection or
onward TCP/IP connection from my linux_node front end.
eg.
C C GB7CR-13 (linux node responds with password on
connection)
(node gb7cr-13 is an ax25d interface ID)
V password$W
C C GB7SRC (does not work as the V command is ignored
and fail to login in to the linux_node with permissions denied as the C
C GB7SRC is taken as the password.
I want to be able to connect to
GB7CR-13, enter password, then either several onward connections
via Netrom or TCPIP
how can this be achieved?
The above is a bit long winded. Hope that you can follow what I want to
do.
