Thank you. But a Linux version of Clusse doesn't exist. Yet. 8-)

Half written, need to do an experiment. Will do it this weekend...

Tried. Buckmaster didn't give out the information on the database
format. Not even if i promised to not give it out, or not to give out the
source code for the library to access the database. They don't support
Linux. I did some seeking in the database and the search binaries, and
found out that they're licenced from Folio, an US firm... they refused to
give out the database format too (it's proprietary), and promised to sue
me if i reverse-engineer it.

I didn't reverse-engineer it (8-), but i might add that the index file
to the database is a flat file with fixed-size records, consisting of the
key strings (callsigns etc) and offset pointers to the data files. The
data files are either encrypted (probably something weak) or compressed
(something which allows random access).

So... not much we can do about it. QRZ! does provide the database format
information. Nobody knows about the third callsign database provider, the
one which prints the phone book sized callsign books... they do sell CD's,
but they don't appear on the Internet. Someone should call or mail them...
