Serial port demodulators?

I am about to take ownership of a new Baycom BP-2M and am wondering what
program members of the list recommend for decoding of monitored signals?
I plan to have a scanner attached.

I've looked at Multimon, but, from what I've been reading, appears to only
work with a sound card for demodulation, and only from a captured file.
Are these interpretations correct? If yes, what are my other program
options?
