Linux Hams:
I am running RH 8.0, and have installed the models for AX25 into the
kernel (not as modules, monolithically), and do not get any "sr0" device if
I do an "ifconfig -a"; why?
I want to have both my sound drivers (Maestro3) available as well
the ability to run AX25 via the sound card. Do I need to make them both
modules when I compile?
How do I switch between normative sound card functions and AX25
setup for doing ham radio?
Why do I not see an "sr0" in my "ifconfig -a"?
Oh, and by the way, I read the FAQ, it refers to olde kernel
versions, and I am not even sure if it applies to current kernels. As well
what I need is more of a trouble shooting guide, as the kernel stuff seems
to setup in a proper way, since the kernel compiled fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Very Respectfully,
