Hello all,

I just installed Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 woody on a Compaq Presario 920 a few days ago. I had to install it with a 2.2 kernel because the 2.4 kernel kept locking on boot with a CPU exception. Once installed, I compiled a kernel 2.4.19 and it worked with the exception of pcmcia. Loading pcmcia cardmgr crashed the kernel with a CPU exception.

Hope this helps.
