While not strictly X, here is another idea...
My logs are kept in Postgres. I got the idea after playing with the CLX
Cluster software, a couple of years ago, which also uses Postgres as a
database.
I cooked up a set of Bash and Perl script for entering and extracting data
easily, without having to deal with SQL. It works pretty well..I keep the
ZL9CI and ZL7C DXPN logs in it, too.
