ax25ipd daemon dying

Greetings, I have been running ax25ipd daemon for several years now and
it has been pretty stable. For some reason or another after upgrading
the kernel to 2.4.18-pre9 I am finding the ax25ipd daemon has stopped
running as a process. Thinking it was the kernel version I upgraded once
again to 2.4.19 and the same thing happens. "ip route" tunnel is still
working. Anyone else seen this problem?
ax25ipd version 1.0.2 / 0.0.6
