    We've been using RocketPort cards in a lot of machines, mostly
    8-port cards with a few 16-port cards lately. We've been more than
    pleased with them. You can get them in ISA or PCI versions. Not
    sure if they fit your budget, but they work awfully well. They have
    drivers for Windows and Linux at least, perhaps others.
