    Greetings

I'm visiting NZ (again - third time lucky?) for 6 weeks in December
2002/January 2003 starting in the North (Bay of Islands) and ending in
Christchurch just before Xmas, driving though Auckland, Taupo, Wellington,
Picton, Tasmin, Greymouth on the way.
I'm interesting in finding out what digital activity there is in these
areas (making use of Linux of course!!) more for eyeball contact than
    carting a laptop/modem/radio about (although I'll probably have a 2m/70cm
    handie with me).
Are there any clubs, meets, rallies or whatever likely to be on during
this time - I'd not be adverse to an invite to a barbi or for a beer
either :-)) - where a traveller can socialise?
