Not that I want to make thing more complicated :-), but you could choose to
upgrade to the new ax25-apps.
download ax25-apps-0.0.6-i386-1.tgz and
`upgradepkg ax25-apps-0.0.6-i386-1.tgz`
to the new version.
If you choose to do that you might want to install the new pkgtool first. It
handles long package names and package upgrades more gracefully.

No, since you've already installed the Slackware binary packages, you don't
need to install from source anymore.

You can safely do that to free some disk space. Again, if you've already
