Hi all,
I'm trying to set-up 6pack connection out of my Linux box. Since I haven't
found any command to change default T1, T2, T3, etc. parameters I'll
probably change these directly in /proc/sys/net/ax25 directory tree after
the interface is started. The question I have is what resolution is used in
the mentioned /proc records?
AX25-howto v2.0 says following:
> In the table T1, T2 and T3 are given in seconds, and the Idle Timeout is
given in minutes. But please note
> that the values used in the sysctl interface are given in internal units
where the time in seconds is multiplied
> by 10, this allows resolution down to 1/10 of a second.
In opposite the current (default) values are like 1000 for T1_timeout
(should be 10s per default), 300 for T2_timeout (should be 3s per default)
and 30000 for T3_timeout (should be 30s per default).
Does it mean that these values are really in 1/100th of second?
Is tweaking values in /proc/sys the proper way to manage the default values
of AX.25 connections?

P.S. I'm using kernel 2.2.20, ax25-apps-0.0.5, ax25-tools-0.0.8,
libax25-0.0.9
