I have a PTC-II and have been *itching* for the past 2 years to do this...
(just imagine: TCP/IP over HF PACTOR <g>)

As far as I know, kernel-AX25 does not support Hostmode TNCs..only
(the slightly inferior) KISS. I am afraid writing network device drivers is
    beyond me.

Some applications (TNT, KPTC) will talk directly to hostmode TNCs. But
then, you may as well run DOS, or whatever. The best feature, and the
whole point of running of Linux, is kernel-AX25

    Ah...you can ;-)

    Connect to ZL2PQH on 10137 10142 18105 18108 24925 kHz mark with
    AMTOR/PACTOR/PACTOR-II, then enter: 'G 2:ZL2BSJ-1'

Use long path connect cycle from SV-land...

    Wilbert, ZL2BSJ
