    Hi,

Noticed the same when shutdown the PC. It may happen with rose
devices as well (using FPAC here).
Configuration is kernel 2.4.8 and latest ax25 tools.

Weird thing with netrom (node-0.3.0) as well. I have to telnet using
"node" port alias name in ASCII since equivalent number in
/etc/service failed. Status command failed showing swap size. BTW,
FPAC323 is ok with status command. A look into sources showed some
    differences.

    [f6fgz@f6fgz f6fgz]$ telnet f6fgz 3694
    Trying 44.151.78.19...
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused
    [f6fgz@f6fgz f6fgz]$ telnet f6fgz node
    Trying 44.151.78.19...
    Connected to f6fgz (44.151.78.19).
    Escape character is '^]'.

    LinuxNode v0.3.0 (f6fgz.ampr.org)

    login:

    Of course, in /etc/services:

    node 3694/tcp # OH2BNS's node
    software
