    Bob,

It's not really clear to me what you have done, but for a FBB config with
only one telnet port you would need to do something like this:

    # /etc/ax25/fbb/port.sys
    #
    # FBB7.04
    #
    #Ports TNCs
      1 1
    #
    #Com Interface Adress(Hex) Baud
      1 9 189C 0
    #
#TNC NbCh Com MultCh Pacln Maxfr NbFwd MxBloc M/P-Fwd Mode Freq
      0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 00/01 ---- File-fwd.
      1 5 1 0 250 2 1 10 00/60 TUW Telnet
    #
    # End of file.

This will enable you to telnet to FBB on port 6300.

Depending on what are your default user persions in FBB, you might also
need to enable telnet access per user.
To do that you need to login the BBS. enable sysop mode (SYS command)
and with the EU command edit the user permissions. For telnet access you
need to set the M flag.
