Hello All,
Downloading and installing the soundmodem software has not caused me any
problems at all, but where is the documentation? The AX25 HowTo directs me to
Tomi's site, however even though there is lots of interesting stuff there I
can't find any documentation on the user mode soundmodem.
Even without documentation, I was easily able to use soundmodemconfig to
setup a configuration file, which I have called mysoundmodem, and the
diagnostics test seems to run OK. The problem is that the use of this
application is not obvious to me, at the moment anyway.
I've been using a baycom style modem on and off for a number of years and I'm
wondering if I'm supposed to substitute "sm0" for "bcf0" in the startup
script. Possibly, but I don't think so.
This is the result if I enter the following line:
soundmodem -c mysoundmodem
sm[4079]: ioctl: TIOCSETD: Invalid argument (22)
So, how do I put this application to work?
