I am having a problem with ax.25 working with my pk-232. First off,
this
is an original pk-232, no mbx, etc. I have had it for years and really
got out of packet and ham radio for a number of years.
Ok, I finally got libax25, tools and apps to build and install, I go to
/etc/ax25/axports and put in the only line:
radio WD4NMQ 1200 255 2 kiss port
I then
modporbe mkiss
kissattach /dev/ttyS0 radio 144.135.46.242
kissparms -p radio -t 100 -s 100 -r 25
I know, that is not my ip number, but I just put it in as a number...
Ok, I then execute
call radio k4vzz
The radio transmits, k4vzz hears me, but nothing appears to decode, he
has mcom on to display conect request, etc.
So, I followed the kiss intructions in the 232 manual.
AXLEN 8
PARITY 0
RESTART
TRACE OFF
HID OFF
BEACON EVERY 0
PACKET
CONMODE ON
PERSIST ON
RAW ON
HPOLL OFF
KISS ON
now here is a problem, it says to also enter "host on", however kiss on
takes you out of command mode.
I also used seyon at 1200 bps to set it up, so it should be in 1200 bps
for mkiss. The 'sta' and 'con' lights are acting like the manual say
they should in kiss mode. Am I missing an ax25 setup somewhere??
Any ideas???
