    The way I finally got all three packages to build was to go to
    http://ax25.sourceforge.net/ and follow the download link to
    http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ax25/
    and download the latest versions of the three.

    The links via hams.sourceforge.net, where I originally started
    via links from the ax25 Howto, DO NOT point to the latest versions.
    I guess they were never updated there.

    My Linux setup is:
    kernel 2.4.5
    glibc 2.2.3
    Installed from Slackware 8.0

    Using 2.4.x and glibc 2.2.3 require latest versions.
