    The easiest way to get around this problem is to obtain
    ax25-tools-0.0.8.tar.gz available at http://ax25.sourceforge.net.

    Or if you cant the way to get them to compile is if i remember correctly,
    delete or comment out
    #include <linux/timer.h>
    ./bpqparms.c (line 28)
    There is also another problem in the tcpip dir, which is more complecated to
    solve, so my advice is get ax25-tools-0.0.8

    BTW: i dont use 2.4.x kernels as yet with ax25, i only check this out for you.
