    Greetings!

It's been awhile since I posted here...I think I fell off the list when it
    moved from rutgers.

Anyhow, for some strange reason (I think the CD's were free), I decided
to try Mandrake 8.1 (2.4.8) instead of the known-ham-good SuSE.

Has anyone tips or experience with Mandrake and/or 2.4 kernels and
soundmodem? Looks like Mandrake built modules for netrom, ax.25, rose,
etc, but not the popular baycom and soundmodem drivers.

I'm also contemplating adding qsstv and gpsk31 and looking for hints.

    KG7FU (James) + K7YFU (Helene) + our 6 year old are living in a 34' motor
home some 20 miles east of Springfield, Oregon. Needless to say, resources
are scarce, but know-how is high.

Thanks in advance for your experiences!
