Didn't Phil Karn propose new link layer protocols to help fix packets
problems? http://www.qsl.net/n9zia/newlink/page1.html I haven't seen
any of these issues addressed by anyone else.
Wouldln't the community be in favor some some amateur product in which
all parts of the firmware could be controlled or changed. Frequency,
power output, etc...
I know that TAPR started a 900Mhz FHSS radio project, however I
queried on status and it looks dead.
I see these options as a replacement for packet.
