To date I have had only one reply to my query about the Soundmodem in Red Hat 7.2??.
The info in that reply allowed me to ovecome the "cant start audio" error message.
I still cannot get Soundmodem to key my com2 (yes I have the configuration correct).
The sound card (es1371) is working ok and by manually keying the tranceiver I can connect to our local BBS, so there are
no problems there.
There must be others out there who have experienced this problem, and may possibly have the answer.
In Win 98 all digital programs funtion perfectly, so there is no problem with the computer .
