Are these packages that are derived from the normal libax25 tools and
apps? If so what did you change in them.

I totally agree here. However I am in a similar state to yourself,
though not that far down the path. I'll fix bugs and accept patches but
I really don't have any motivation to develop the packages any more.
I haven't take a radio out of the packing box I put them in over two
years ago! The last i heard there was almost no 4k8 or 9k6 in Sydney
and anyway my 4k8 radio has some Tx problem. Not good things to
motivate you to work on the code.
