Hi list,
Currently my main HDD is a 17GB. This has a basic 200MB Dos
partition to retain an AK1A cluster system and the remainder is set thus :-
Linux native 2.5GB Swap 200Mb. The rest of the hdd is clear. I want to
install a second O/S version. (Redhat 7.2)
1) If I use partition magic from the dos O/S , can I adjust the current
Linux Native and swap ( by limiting them to the 2.7GB allocated) and create
a further partition from (say) 6GB onwards for the second O/S
2) Would in fact the second O/S boot ok from the further reaches of the
new partition.
3) Would the best way to go be to use a second HDD for the second O/S
and if so can I still use the mbr on hda to boot the alternate O/S ?
