I remember discussing this with G8BPQ several years ago, although I can
no longer contact him on any of the contact addresses I have for him. He
stated that in this event happenning, BPQ just adds the callsign as an
alias to itself. Apparently, this caused no problems with BPQ as it just
stops searching once it finds a match, so never notices the duplicate,
and most other node software acts in precicely the same way.
