Hi all,
Can anyone help with this :-
RH 6.1 > AX25 > DXSpider 1.48 Automatic backups are made regularly
and these backups can be viewed using Midnight Commander and are OK.
Ftp these to a Win95 machine (16 bit) successfully. To test , copied one to
a floppy , copied it from floppy to a spare directory on the Linux box ,
tried to view with Midnight commander and got "Couldn't open tar archive
packet.tar.gz#ugz" The error shown on the bottom of the (now) crashed
midnight commander says "gzip : invalid compressed data : crc error"
Don't know where the #ugz came from. It doesn't show up on the file in the
directory listing. Just WHAT DO I have to do to get a safely remote backup
file without this corruption please !
