    But linux does write callsigns heard to its nodelist (or so it seems) but
    they get added with an asterisk as mnemonic. My nodelist is full of them and
    they do seem to be unconnectable as well. I have 40 such nodes now in my
    nodelist total nodes are 750, in % not such a big deal but an enoying problem
    to say the least.

    I and a few others have reported this problem before, or a very simalar
    problem.
    When i and a few others here in NL looked at this more closely it was
    discovered that most all stn's transmittimg this type of broadcast were using
    either Jnos or Tnos.
    We even found that Linux stn's using the linux kernel netrom and ax25 were
    seemingly digipeting those packets from Xnos stn's as well.
