6pack and kernel 2.4.x ?

Hi folks

 I'm wondering, if anyone here is using 6pack with kernel 2.4.x ? I'm
getting kernel panicks after a while, when I enable packet on the system.
(last kernel i tried was 2.4.6).

 So for now I'm using 2.2.x series of kernel (which runs ok) But I wan't
to use iptables, which is in the 2.4 series, for a firewall/nat router,
that also runs as a local bbs..

 Any comments?
