    Hi Phil and others,

    > I think I have configured the various ulist files under /etc/ax25/ correctly.

That's where the config files are. They are not the problem.

What I meant is the file containing the list of captured FBB bulletin
headers. It lives in /var/spool/ax25/<BBS-CALL> or possibly in
    /var/ax25/<BBS-CALL> (sorry, can't check).

Just make sure ulistd is permitted to write it, and the mail macro
(spawned by linpac) is entitled to read it, that's all.

    Channel means session screen (F1...F9).
If you have a QSO running in a session screen, then you can't run the
    mail macro from that screen.

    >If this refers the the radio channel to the BBS
    No, it doesn't.

You won't get the FBB header boadcasts then, and thus no unproto list.
A connected-mode bulletin browser like LinKT may be better for you.

Incidentally, the path to your home-BBS is set in ~/linpac/macro/init.mac,
    if I am not mistaken.

    The program does.

The docs are a little terse, but pretty much all the info is there. I reckon
they are OK. I am sure Radek, who hails from OK-land, would welcome
suggestions for improvements from native speakers of English ;-)

I have dropped out of the arms race and gone back to kernel 2.2.x to
keep my packet radio applications happy.
