Hello,
I am having some problems with the infamous soundmodem driver, and have not
been able to find the answeres I need on my own. (Int ax-howto, this mailing
list history, and searching the net)
First off, here is what I am working with
A Linux From Scratch based system with Linux 2.4.4, current compilers and
libraries.
Compiled in support for soundmodem and ax25.
Disabled soundcard support in kernel.
Soundblaster awe32 card.
Installed libax, axtools, axapps.
I am having problems getting the soundmodem configured correctly to start
out with. I do not have the setcrystal program, it was not installed with
any of the ax utitly programs. So, I may need to be initalizing the card, but
I do not know how. I run the command
sethdlc -p -i sm0 mode sbc:hapn4800 io 0x220 irq 9 dma 1 serio 0x2f8
To setup the card, and everything seems to go OK. After I have done this,
there is still no device /dev/sm0 in my system.
If anyone could help me, I would be very, very thankful.
Thanks for your help,
Dustin
