Would it not be a good idea to have read the INSTALL files(s) in the ax25-
apps lib and tools archives, that could have saved all these problems.
Here is the small and relavant piece.
By default, it will install the files in /usr/local. To change this
so that binaries go in /usr and the conf files go in /etc
./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var
make
make install
I quite often wonder why Terry Dawson choose to have the default in
/usr/local as when Jonathan Naylor G4KLX who wrote all the ax25 stuff
changed from /usr/local to /etc way back, anyway it is all documented.
