Thanks Ricardo and all others who responded..
I will keep all these notes together to get something going. In the
meantime I brought up Tnos (again) and used 'tip' to reset the port
putting it in and out of kiss etc.. Works so nice..
I am using a kam + which may take more or less commands to get it to
work right? Not sure. It has two ports and with the ax25 utils I first
attach the kam+ using 'mkiss:
/usr/sbin/mkiss -s 4800 /dev/ttyS5 /dev/ptyb3 /dev/ptyb4
Then I attach the individual ports as follows:
/usr/sbin/kissattach -l -m 256 /dev/ttyb3 vhf 44.135.34.201
/usr/sbin/kissattach -l -m 80 /dev/ttyb4 20m 44.135.34.201
It was the 'vhf' port I was trying to reset or at least put back into
kiss. A power failure knocked everything out here and I had to start
again.
Thanks again for all who helped..
