TNC's and Linux

    What are the commands to talk to a TNC so I can take it out of
    kiss and return it to kiss.

    I have always used Tnos with its 'tip' program to do this for me.
    But I thought - there should be a way to do it from a 'command line'.
    Or is that possible.???
