    Hi All.

Just got back from Dayton. I didn't see much new in the way of major
equipment by the "big three", but there were some interesting digital
products from a German company, SYMEK, http://symek.com, who showed some
    high-speed TNC's including a dual-port model with a claimed capability
of 614 kbps simultaneously on both ports. I think this was originally
    aimed at the AO-40 crowd.

I did buy a Peet Bros. Ultimeter 2000 weather station. I'd like to
incorportate this into the APRS network. Of course my shack is a
"No Windows Zone" so the solution will need to be run under Linux. Is
there a Linux APRS list anywhere?

Finally, I did a bit of an unofficial study wearing a Debian Tee shirt
on Friday and received 3 or 4 favorable comments along with an
interesting look from KA9Q (left the !Q@#$$#@!! name badge at the motel
:-O ). On Saturday I wore a John Deere tee-shirt along with my newly
crafted name badge also sporting a John Deere logo. I fielded something
like 7 or 8 requests of "where can I get a badge like that?" variety and
several more general conversations regarding famr tractors and such.
What this says about the interests of mainstream hams, I'm not sure. It
    was fun, though.

    73, de Nate >>
