    Friends,
This should be quick. I'm using TCP/IP over ax.25. That's all I do with ax.25. My problem is at my kiss device, my KWM 9612+ which is basically a KPC 9162+ with a slightly different eprom. The trouble, I believe has to do with packet sizes. I had posted a message several months ago with my system hanging when I tried to do http or ftp over my connection. I noted the ping and telnet all worked. Somebody suggested it was my slow 1200bps, which was a good guess, but I'm at 9k6 now and the same problem continued. I finally traced the trouble down to the modem, apperently it doesn't like large packets. I figured if I set the pac size to 256 axports that it should solve the problem, but it didn't. Eventually I found that the system would start hanging with packet sizes of between 220 and 240 bytes. I don't know exactly where. I have my paclen set to 220 now and things are fine. So, what I'm wondering is if anybody knows anything about this situation and could tell m!
e what the maximum size packet I can pass is. I will also contact kantronics specifically about their modem. It seems to me that it shouldn't have this problem. Any info about this situation would be much appreciated though. Does the paclen in axports limit the data or the whole packet size?

    Thanks for any help,

    Christopher George
