    I assumed hdrvcomm.c had compiled OK., there were no complaints. I
    will re-do the make with the debug option (if there is one) and also look
    for the -O flag.

    Many thanks for the pointers. Will check and get back on this...the
    owner/sysop has gone on holiday for 10 days :-(
