Fw: TELNET from windows

     Hi,

     I'm running red hat 5.2 (2.0.36) on a laptop that lives on my home network.
     While I can telnet from the lap top to itself, I can not complete a
     connection from the windows machines on the network. In the laptop's
     messages log I see:

         "telnetd: ttloop: peer died: Invalid or incomplete multibyte or wide
    character"

     Not sure where to go from here. These same machines do telnet out to other
     sites.

     Any clues?
