AC97 codec & Soundmodem

    Hi and thanks for reading this message.
    I' use a computer with an ac97 codec for audio. I want to use the soundmodem
    driver included into the kernel in oerder to operate in packet-radio; i've the
    following trouble: how can I 'set' my board? In fact, lspci command gives me
    this result:

    i've tried to set the board by the following command:

    sethdlc -p -i sm0 mode sbc:afsk1200 io 0xfedfe000 irq 10 DMA 1 serio 0x2f8

    or sethdlc -p -i sm0 mode sbc:afsk1200 io 0xfec00000 irq 10 DMA 1 serio 0x2f8

    ive also tried by replacing 'sbc' with 'wss' but when i give the command to
    turn on the device (ifconfig sm0 hw ax25 iz7cry-2 up) i've the following result:

    SIOCSIFFLAGS: Dispositivo non configurato
                              |
                              |-----> means 'Device not set'
    i use kernel 2.4.2 on RH 6.2 but i had the sma trouble with kernel 2.2.x

    how can i do ????
