    Tnx, Tomi, for the explanation. The 'tr' pipe formats received data
    correctly. I am now running ax25_call from a tiny bit of Perl code, which
    fixes it both ways.

    I reckon it should be possible to implement a node in a shell script,
    using ax25_call....I am having a play with it, re-inventing the wheel
    (awznode :-)
