Hi all,
thought I'd managed to put this one to bed, but after loadfing a new OS,, not
so sure.
OS mandrake 7,2, kernel 2.2.17, lastest ax25 utils
this machine has 2 NICs at the moment there are 3 axip links working OK on 1
network interface , and one sorta semi working on the othe network interface.
On the one semi working netrom traffic is moving from the iffy interface and
out through the other , but its not seeing netrom nodes broadcasts, but its
sending them ok .. diag below
---------------------
OK side | | iffy side
eth0 - -| tunl0---ax0----------|--eth1
---------------------
There is 1 axip interface ax0 feeding to both the ip-ip tunnnel and the eth1
interface.
There seems to be no problem routing axip from the eth0 (tunl0) side through
and out of eth1.
But when running listen I can only see netrom and ax25 traffic moving from
eth0 to eth1, both in and out..
On the other direction traffics moves from eth1 to eth0, but I can only see
packets leaving on eth0.. netrom BC'c are also ignored comming from eth1.
Have I hit the problem of routing in and out of the same interface ax0 in
this case ??
Is the solution to use 2 axip deamons to produce an extra interface ??
TIA
