    I'll second the recommendation. I've used OpenSSL and OpenSSH on
    Linux, and both TeraTerm with the ttssh add-on, and Putty on Windows.
    scp (included with OpenSSH, and a port called pscp is included with
    Putty) can handle file transfer functionality.
