    Here is the first problem, you have 2 default routes for the whole ampr.org on
    ax0, the first one in the table will get used.
    So that means your system is sending out an arp and will do nothing untill
    vk4rza.lan.ampr.org answers the arp.

    Your system is hearing other stn(s), 2 packets have been received, you can use
    mheard to see who they are, if of course you have mheardd running.

    This could also be a problem, a normal entry in a hosts file would be;

    44.xx.xx.xx vk9xyz.ampr.org vk9xyz

    Quite possably that is upsetting ARP.

    Normally a arp should look like.

    scc3: fm PA3GCU-15 to QST ctl UI pid=CD(ARP) len 30
    ARP: len 30 hwtype AX25 prot IP op REQUEST
    sender IPaddr 44.137.28.48 hwaddr PA3GCU-15
    target IPaddr 44.137.28.27

    I would take a guess and say your hosts file is causing the arp problem,
    altho' i could be wrong.
