Hi,
I'm trying to set up a system with LinuxNode and xfbb (to replace a Dos
system); what I want to do is have two seperate IP addresses for the Node &
BBS parts of the system, as I do at present with BPQ & Dos FBB.
The general AX25 setup & node side of things are not a problem, and I have
xfbb running OK.
All the radio ports use the Node IP address at present.
Ideally, the BBS should respond to 'direct' connects to it's own IP on any
port (does FBB do this, or only respond to it's AX25 callsign?), it should
be possible to telnet it's IP address, and outgoing connections from the BBS
should use the correct IP.
It would be OK if connects to the BBS had to use the Node IP as a gateway.
The one thing I don't want to have to do is to configure a second IP on
every port (ax0 + ax0:0 etc.) as I have Eight ports on the Node and doubling
up would be a nightmare!
Any info appreciated,
Regards,
Robert Jenkins, G8TBF / G0WTK.
