Folks:
I am going to try to install the AX25 bits and pieces in a machine
which I have dedicated to this.
It is running RH 6.2 kernel 2.2.14
I have pulled the ax25 apps and tools rpms along with the libax25
RPM and have installed them. Now I believe I have to do a new
kernel am I not corrrect??
This is where I have gotten in trouble in the past, but at least the
machine I have here if I trash it I just start over again B-}
So I wonder if someone would be willing to give me a blow by
blow description of what I now need to do to get the AX25 stuff
up and running, I followed the instructions you have given to
Chuck to a certain extent but I think I missed some stuff there
somewhere...
I will initially be working with KISS TNC's so if I can just get to
where I can estabish connections, I think I can take it from there.
Again libax25, apps and tools are installed on the machine. I can
see some of the configuration files where I need to put callsigns
IP addresses and other stuff.
In the end I want to end up with a machine that will allow me to
do IP, FPAC (Rose) and NetRom (for those that want to play with
it since we have no NetRom around here) I figure that if I can just
get it to pass AX-25 data I can take it from there...
I will be most happy to take it off list so as not to create too much
noise.
