Hi again
I have been using soundmodem for abt 18months now, in both single and twin
soundcard configurations.
Using 2.2.14-12 kernel (RedHat 6.2)
I have two questions
I would like to use the MIDI port for PTT but so far no luck.
I read in the docs that early model soundblaster cards are not suitable for
this.
How can one tell if a card is one of these, ie whether it is any good for
midiio?
are crystal cards alright?
I have used sethdlc to correctly configure sm0, midiio 0x330 and I can see
that it has been correctly initialised in /proc/ioports
however there is no PTT activation.
What should I see on pin 12 of the midi port when PTT is activated?
serio and pario are no worries.
Any tips here would be v. much appreciated.
Also..
Has anyone tried installing 2 soundcards and using ony ONE as a sound modem,
retaining the other as /dev/dsp???
I saw the posts from Brent and Wilbert
I have never encountered those problems!
must be a 2.2.18 thing????
Christmas cheers & 73
