    I have had exactly the same problem. In the end, I just agreed to it and
    changed all my ax25 config files, axports etc to ax0.

    If you can't beat them, join them :-)

    Yep. Same here. No PTT.

    My work-around was, to build a passive VOX, that works off the TX
    audio. Now, I don't need PTT signalling *and* I can leave the zip drive on
    parport plus have a TNC on /dev/tty0 (my computer is a notebook
    PC...only one ser. port)

    Works great.
