Hi
I have been looking through linux-hams, and seen several having trouble,
as I do, but I have not been able to resolve it.
Upgraded from rh6.0 with a mix of ax stuff, to 6.2 and all four ax
rpm:s, it was then I broke the system.
IP over plain ax25 works:
[root@pc2 linux]# arp -a sm7jqb
sm7jqb.ampr.org (44.140.249.7) at SM7JQB-3 [ax25] PERM on scc0
Tried the more complete copmmand below as found in an earlier post (as
arp -H netrom -s sm5cnq.ampr.org sm5cnq-9 failed).
[root@pc2 linux]# arp -i nr2 -t netrom -s sm5cnq sm5cnq-9
[root@pc2 linux]# arp -a sm5cnq
sm5cnq.ampr.org (44.140.176.13) at * [netrom] PERM on nr2
Kernel 2.2.5 and 2.2.14 tested (14 current)
Changing to nr0 does not help.
[root@pc2 linux]# ifconfig nr2
nr2 Link encap:AMPR NET/ROM HWaddr SM7GVF-3
inet addr:44.140.249.3 Mask:255.255.255.255
UP RUNNING MTU:235 Metric:1
RX packets:26 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:0 errors:150 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
seems to be no route or why all those errors?
[root@pc2 linux]# route | grep sm5cnq
sm5cnq.ampr.org * 255.255.255.255 UH 0 0 0
nr2
[root@pc2 linux]# grep -i sm5cnq /proc/net/nr_nodes
SM5CNQ-9 CNQNOD 1 1 45 6 00001
Suggestions where to look are welcome. I may have overlooked something
in the kernel compile?
