    Presuming you issued the command as root, then it depends on how you
    configured libax25 ax25-apps and ax25-tools, if you simply did,

    ./configure
    make
    make install

    Which the kissattach error message suggests then they will i belive be
    found in /usr/local/etc/* if however you did;

    ./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --localstatedir=/var
    make
    make install

    Then all should be fine.
