ax25 broken in kernel 2.4?

    Hi !

I've got my TNC connected to my linux box using the kernel kiss driver,
kissattach, the call-command and the ax25d.

With 2.2.16 everything works fine, even applications like linkt or xfbb.

after I upgraded to 2.4.0-test9, I can't call out anymore, I get an error
message "bind: can't assign requested adress" with call. incoming
connections to my callsign are ignored.

then I upgraded to 2.4.0-test11 yesterday. after that, call works fine,
but if someone tries to connect to my callsign (ax25d or xfbb is
listening) the system freezes and I have to hard-reset my computer.
so connecting to my callsign via the local digipeater results in a
    denial-of-service attack ;-)

is there any version of kernel2.4 with working ax.25 code?
or is there a patch for ax.25 so I don't have to wait for the next kernel
    version?
